The Secular Jurist is a WordPress community blog. Therefore, the posting of comments is enabled primarily to facilitate constructive dialog between members. Since this is a public blog, outside comments may be allowed occasionally; however, they will be moderated much more closely.
Informative, fact-based comments are strongly encouraged as are well-reasoned opinion and impartial points of view. Experience will be valued over speculation.
Subjective opinions, such as those derived from intuition or perception, are also welcomed; but, please refrain from presenting them as irrefutable. It is expected that commenters understand and respect the difference between personal beliefs and objectively ascertained knowledge.
Witticisms which offer entertaining humor, satire, or sarcasm are greatly appreciated as are other intellectual offerings such as poetry and storytelling.
Please try to address the subject matter at hand. Off-topic comments may receive a warning, and subsequent off-topic comments may be moderated. However, it is acceptable for regular readers to use this blog for casual discussion. If you just want to shoot-the-bull, that’s okay.
When posting external links and videos, please use reputable sources. Please be cognizant of spreading malware, etc.
Blatant partisanship and prejudice are discouraged. If you must jump on a bandwagon and rant, please try to stifle yourself after making your point. Belabored commentary and prolonged rambling won’t be tolerated.
Propaganda and trolling will not be allowed.
Debates must be conducted with civility. Focus on the substance of the disagreement and not on the commentator. Personal, ad hominem attacks will not be allowed.
The Secular Jurist reserves the right to approve or disapprove all posted comments.
