  1. Does this really matter? At this point everyone intelligent enough to understand the implications of the government shutdown and compassionate enough to care about more than money, supporting a “wannabe” dictator and/or pushing religious zealotry knows what’s going on.

    • What an absurd question. That the safety of air travel is being undermined by this government shutdown matters a great deal to anyone who flies, their families, their friends, and everyone who cares about human lives. I hope that you would too.

      • I didn’t mean that air safety doesn’t matter. 🙂 I was commenting on the insane apathy of people who don’t care about the shutdown. I guess I should have worded my comment differently. I was referring to news of the damage the shutdown is doing as a whole not mattering to the rabid base of support for trump.

        • Well, Trump supporters fly too. Air traffic safety isn’t a partisan issue. It’s a real world issue that everyone is concerned about.

Public opinion polls clearly and consistently show support for Trump’s border wall government shutdown is very low and getting lower with time even among Republicans. Trump’s rabid base is small but noisy. Don’t listen to them. Let them make themselves irrelevant.
