The federal government on Friday released a long-awaited report with an unmistakable message: The impacts of climate change, from deadly wildfires to increasingly debilitating hurricanes and heat waves, are already battering the United States, and the danger of more such catastrophes is worsening.

The report’s authors, who represent numerous federal agencies, say they are more certain than ever that climate change poses a severe threat to Americans’ health and pocketbooks, as well as to the country’s infrastructure and natural resources. And while it avoids policy recommendations, the report’s sense of urgency and alarm stand in stark contrast to the lack of any apparent plan from President Trump to tackle the problems which, according to the government he runs, are increasingly dire.

  1. I wonder… will tRump ACTUALLY admit/apologize he has been DEAD WRONG his entire Presidency about climate change and arrogantly stupidly leaving the Paris Climate Agreement? Even after his own administration says it’s bad? HAH! I wager $1M he’ll never admit his idiocy. 😒 Then, will he make his people do the actual work, the immediate legislation, and REJOIN the Paris Agreement? Isn’t that the humanitarian, smart, and obvious action now? Hmmm, what will our 8th-grade President do?

      • Yeah, I was being extremely sarcastic. A Cold War Era man and mentality, along with severe narcissistic and megalomaniac disorders will NEVER admit errors. Can you name ANY Mob/Mafia bosses (like tRump) having ever admitted being wrong? HAH!!! 😒

    • Personally, I don’t care what he says. We already know what he says on such issues. It’s time for this nation to move on and leave this megalomaniacal would-be dictator in the dust. American voters made their choice on November 6th, and they soundly rejected Trump. He can go on screaming at the moon for all I care. Every day, he makes himself more irrelevant.

      • Totally agree Robert! I ignored him when he was on his TV sitcom “The Apprentice” — all he ever said with his arms folded across his chest (to support his titties) — was “Your fired!” repeatedly. Boring! Irrelevant! Nothing at all has changed with this 8th-grader. What HAS changed is how easily the rural, uneducated trailer-park white people have become more gullible, naive. Then tRump finds other same-aged(?) mentally-ill colleagues such as Paul Manafort and Steve Bannon and those “types” and sadly it shows just how vulnerable democracy can be! 😦
