A federal judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from denying asylum to migrants who crossed the southern border illegally, saying the president violated a “clear command” from Congress to allow them to apply.

In a ruling late Monday, Jon S. Tigar of the U.S. District Court in San Francisco issued a temporary nationwide restraining order barring enforcement of the policy, which President Trump has billed as an urgent attempt to halt the flow of thousands of asylum-seeking families across the border each month.

Commentary by The Secular Jurist:  It appears that more and more Americans are standing up to self-appointed King Trumpski.  He desperately wants everything his own way, but he is meeting resistance at every turn.  It’s not easy being a dictator these days.  And, in a case of sublime poetic justice, Trump’s daughter Ivanka has been exposed as violating the same federal rules prohibiting the use of private email for governmental use as was presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016 when Trump campaigned across the country chanting “Lock her up!”  Yes, Donny, lock her up… your daughter, that is.
