Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, called late Sunday for a delay in further consideration of Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh after a second woman accused him of sexual misconduct.
“I am writing to request an immediate postponement of any further proceedings related to the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh,” Feinstein (Calif.) wrote in a letter to Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa), the committee’s chairman.
Her letter came after the New Yorker magazine reported that Deborah Ramirez, a classmate of Kavanaugh’s at Yale University, said he exposed himself at a party when they were both first-year students.

Mitch McConnell: “We’ve got the votes and we’ll get over this road bump. Kavanaugh will be on the Supreme Court.” Sadly, they will, and he will.

There may be a third woman coming forth soon according to Avenatti. And the plot gets thicker. I also think Rosenstein will resign perhaps and Thursday. I don’t think Mueller will ever get a chance to finish this investigation. I’m usually wrong about this stuff, so I hope that trend continues.

More women? Wow!
Let’s not jump off the cliff prematurely. If Trump stops the Mueller investigation and isn’t impeached or otherwise removed from office, we’re frigging toast! If that happens, I’ll jump with you – but not before then.

If the dems win seats, can they at least open the investigation again into trump?

If Dems gain control of the House of Representatives, they would have congressional investigative authority which could exert pressure on the DOJ to resume the Mueller criminal investigation, and they could of course impeach the President.
If Dems also gain control of the Senate, they would have even greater power especially over the President’s judicial and administrative appointments. Additionally, the Senate has the responsibility of removing from office an impeached President or an impeached Supreme Court justice.

Yes, Francisco would obviously have a conflict of interest if he succeeds Rosenstein. Thanks, Mary.
