The new cabinet minister, a former foreign office lawyer, told reporters that he was “looking forward to intensifying, heating up, the negotiations”, after stepping into the role, following the resignation of David Davis over the paper, which set out how the UK is effectively seeking to stay in the single market for goods by following a raft of EU laws.

The differing priorities between the two negotiators were clearly evident, however, as they stepped out in front of reporters together at the European commission headquarters.

While Raab conceded there were some “gaps” in the withdrawal agreement that needed to be filled, Barnier emphasised the “urgency” of finding a solution for the most thorny issue in that deal: avoiding a hard border on the island of Ireland.

Supposedly millions upon millions of liberals and Democrats are walking away form liberal and progressive ideas and embracing Trump-ism instead. Russian bots have picked up on it and..you know the rest. It’s a Trumpian reaction to the supposed blue wave that might be coming in Nov. Now, there are many reason a blue wave may not happen–Dems’ idiocy being # one, but this “walkaway” shit is just nutty. Trumpanzees are so desperate to be right on all accounts that they simply must project their crap onto everyone and everything and then claim anyone not agreeing with their assessment of reality is wrong. Anyway, look this up if you’ve time. A Trumpian nutter told me about it and said it would convince me hundreds of millions of liberals have now turned their backs on the hateful, racist left and have embraced Trump. Needless to say, I’m not convinced.
