WASHINGTON — A senior House Republican briefed by the FBI on its Russia probe is disputing President Donald Trump’s allegation that the agency spied on his 2016 campaign for political purposes.

Rep. Trey Gowdy told “CBS This Morning” and Fox News there is no evidence of FBI misconduct or that the agency planted a “spy” in Trump’s campaign. His statements appeared to contradict the president, who has said the FBI planted a “spy for political reasons and to help Crooked Hillary win.”

  1. Gawd! I do wish this stuff would draw to a close. I’m getting soooo tired of the circus with its ridiculously performing animals.

    I’m guessing Mueller wants rock-solid evidence before he presents the results on his investigation … but in the meantime, we have to put up with the orange orangutan and his dribbling.

      • We need to take the emphasis away from the details of his putrid inanities and concentrate on bringing a long list of criminal charges that will drive him out of office. And, apparently we will need to convince a few terrified republicans to come over to the side of relative sanity. This is just too much. We need to move on to more important things – like saving ourselves from extinction.
