WASHINGTON — Former FBI Director James Comey blasts President Donald Trump as unethical and “untethered to truth” in a sharply critical new book that describes Trump as fixated in the early days of his administration on having the FBI debunk salacious rumors he insisted were untrue but could distress his wife.
In the forthcoming book, Comey compares Trump to a mafia don and calls his leadership of the country “ego driven and about personal loyalty.”
He also reveals new details about his interactions with Trump and his own decision-making in handling the Hillary Clinton email investigation before the 2016 election. He casts Trump as a mobster-like figure who sought to blur the line between law enforcement and politics and tried to pressure him personally regarding his investigation into Russian election interference.

Knowing that Trump will most likely fire Rosenstein very soon, makes me feel deeply depressed and defeated. This prick is doing whatever he wants and the pussy cats in the GOP simply don’t care. They got their tax cuts and their theocratic Supreme Court judge, so they’re happy. Our country is dead, and there is no law and order here. To me, America has died.

Hopefully, and ironically, the Stormy/Cohen thing brings the fucker down. It may become SO horrid that the GOP may have to act. I doubt they will, but hopefully they do. If not, we’ll have to wait for Dems to take back the House in Nov for anything to happen, but, unless they miraculously win the Senate, too, Trump will NOT be removed from office. This really sucks!

Isn’t there a point when the Executive Branch — namely our fuckin so-called President — goes too far and breaks all spirit of the Law/Constitution, if not explicitely spitting in the face of our Laws/Constitution? The GOP must be bordering on aiding a known criminal at this point!? 😡

As Jeff said, that does appear to be the case. If the GOP has any ethical, moral, or legal sensibility at all, it will eventually do the right thing. I’m not holding my breath, however.

They ARE complicit in EVERY crime Trump has and is committing. Their behavior is sickening, treasonous and as far from American as one can get. This man should have been impeached a year ago, and, if he were a Democrat, this current GOP run congress would have him already placed in prison. I’ve always hated the GOP, but my disgust and outrage at this group of traitors has no proper words to describe it.
