Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort is now betting his future on a presidential pardon, legal sources with knowledge of his strategy tell CBS News’ Paula Reid. According to the sources, Manafort is not planning to cooperate with Special Counsel Robert Mueller and and will fight the charges through to trial.

I hope Mueller finds a way to circumvent this–state charges, too, and the like. You know, for people who aren’t guilty, tRump and Manafort sure act guilty. The bastards.

Agreed, but consider this. Although a pardon would keep Manafort out of jail, his refusal to cooperate doesn’t look like it will impede the Mueller investigation which has secured cooperation from Trump’s deputy campaign chairman Richard Gates. Seems tRump’s lawyer talked to the lawyers for the two guys about a pardon. Was that a way to get the word to them not to cooperate but to stall and their buddy would look out for them at the end? Hugs
