Trump and Vladimir V. Putin, the Russian president, according to an email sent to the Trump campaign.

The emailed outreach from the conservative operative to Mr. Dearborn came far earlier, around the same time that Russians were trying to make other connections to the Trump campaign. Another contact came through an American advocate for Christian and veterans causes, and together, the outreach shows how, as Mr. Trump closed in on the nomination, Russians were using three foundational pillars of the Republican Party — guns, veterans and Christian conservatives — to try to make contact with his unorthodox campaign.
Both efforts, made within days of each other, centered on the N.R.A.’s annual meeting and appear to involve Alexander Torshin, a deputy governor of the Russian central bank and key figure in Mr. Putin’s United Russia party, who was instructed to make contact with the campaign.

I LOVE the WH’s response to the Flynn situation. “Oh, he only pled guilty to one thing, and it has nothing to do with us.” What IDIOTS!!! He pled guilty to a lesser charge to avoid decades in jail. He offered up Kushner and who knows who else to make this deal. Jesus, what an idiot Trump is. Then he goes on Twitter and ADMITS he obstructed justice by firing Flynn because he lied to the FBI yet he STILL asked Comey to back off him. This prick MUST go to prison.

trump was speaking to his army of mindless automatons, feeding potential wacko theories about his innocence and how he’s being ambushed by the mythological “left wing media” because he speaks their version of the “truth.” He’s hoping a national or international catastrophe (like war) will galvanize enough of the U.S. population to salvage his presidency. We better hope he doesn’t get support fom the CIA and DOD to start a war.
