“If she is trying to come across as the leader of the angry movement of what happened in 2016, then she’s achieving it,” said one former senior aide to Obama. “But part of the problem she had was she didn’t have a vision for the Democratic Party and she needs to now take a break and let others come to the forefront.”

  1. I haven’t read the entire article, but this quote rings so true to me … she needs to now take a break and let others come to the forefront.

I voted for her in opposition to tRump (and as the lesser of two evils) but I really wasn’t that enthralled with her. I do wish she’d fade into the background. Unfortunately, I have a sneaky hunch she’s going to run again.

  2. Hillary doesn’t know to leave, but thankfully the party is helping to edge her out. There is so much good she can do in the world, I hope she is soon able to move on.

The Dems would be smart to make party loyalist Elizabeth Warren the leader of their party. That would pull them a little bit left, and give them a sliver of a chance in 2020, should Bernie Sanders run on a new 3rd party ticket.

  3. I just read the most recent bio of her and her campaign. A central point was Hilary could not articulate why she wanted to be president which was kinda inaccurate. Hilary could articulate why she wanted to be president and the reason was, she WANTED TO BE PRESIDENT. Period . End of story. Her ambition wasn’t then, and isn’t now, enough. I wish she would devote herself to charity and step aside (her daughter too), so a strong candidate with an actual vision for our screwed up country could emerge.
