Federal prosecutors on Thursday announced charges against nine men, including two former advisers to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, in a corruption and fraud case involving state contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
The charges followed a federal investigation into Buffalo Billion, a signature $1 billion economic development project by Cuomo aimed at revitalizing the area around the one-time industrial powerhouse city of Buffalo.

I suppose it’s good news to read that federal prosecutors are actually willing to put their little finger in the New York dyke against the rising levels of corruption. Still it remains a case of too little, too late.

I guess I see this a bit different from Sha’Tara. I wish I could see hope in this, but instead I see despair. Why do so many who have so much need to scam and do corrupt things to get more? Why do so many who take an oath to serve the people then try to instead enrich themselves? It saddens me greatly. Hugs

When we finally give up all hope in our erstwhile leaders and their puppet masters, that’s when we become free to choose our own way; our own personal power on how to face the future. Sounds corny but that’s where I’m coming from.

Sadly it does seem that way. Growing up I was told stories of leaders who bucked the trend, stood against the ….what ever… but we don’t hear those stories anymore. Hugs
