We all feel loss, sadness, regret, and even melancholy from time to time. Life is tough and sometimes very complicated. This is for all those who are trying to cope today.
Just a song before I go,
To whom it may concern
Traveling twice the speed of sound
It’s easy to get burnedWhen the shows were over
We had to get back home,
And when we opened up the door
I had to be aloneShe helped me with my suitcase,
She stands before my eyes
Driving me to the airport,
And to the friendly skiesGoing through security
I held her for so long
She finally looked at me in love,
And she was goneJust a song before I go,
A lesson to be learned
Traveling twice the speed of sound
It’s easy to get burnedSongwriters: Graham Nash
By: Crosby, Stills and Nash (1977)
That certainly brings back memories – 1977; the year I got married and had a baby. (in reverse order) 😉

Great choice of ‘tunage’, by the way! 🙂 (Although I liked ’em better when Neil Young joined ’em)

Thanks, me too. I saw CSN at the Oakland Coliseum around the time that this album came out. When the performers arrived on stage, the entire audience shouted: “Where’s Neil Young?” It was amazing.

Aww. . . lucky you!
I must tell you that after I wrote on your blog, I went outdoors to paint. I had songs from Neil Young’s Harvest album (which I’m sure I’ve listened to 1000 times) in my head all afternoon! 🙂
This is why I appreciate my blogging friends – one never knows what can materialize from the mists of memories, stimulated by a ‘conversation’ topic. 🙂
