For those interested in educating themselves on the history of America’s dominant oil industry and its often rabid gun culture, I suggest watching the following C-SPAN videos.  In them, you’ll discover not only how special interests have manipulated the political system and public opinion, but also how these forces have rewritten the nation’s history to their advantage – particularly with respect to firearms which until the 20th century were considered only as tools and not as the fervent political symbolism of today.

  1. I’ve lived in the States my whole life. I don’t need C-Span to tell me my country is hooked on oil & guns, I already know.

  2. I have often been forced to admit after watching or reading something that what I thought I knew well, I was sadly lacking on some points. I have not watched all of them. I will try to get back to them when I have more time. Thanks and hugs
