The First National Bank of Wellston repossessed the wrong house in Ohio (because of a “GPS” error), sold or discarded its contents, then refused to compensate the rightful owner (Katie Barnett) unless she provided receipts for the $18,000 worth of stolen items.

Apparently, the McArthur Police Department has closed the case and is refusing to help the aggrieved homeowner despite the illegal action taken by the bank.

A link to send a message to a First National Bank of Wellston representative, circulated today by Daily Kos, returned an “undeliverable” response after attempting to use it.  Presumably, the bank has blocked some incoming messages from that email account.
